11/1/2010 9:05:47 PM
"fiscal responsibility" ... as in for those who spout it when the criticize spending, or understand spending is needed, or that have a solid grasp on economics and understand spending is needed, and realize that what has been done has not really been the correct course of action?
11/1/2010 9:07:27 PM
Bert Blyleven

I'm using it as a broad term. I'm a MBA'er with a solid grasp of economics and how various past administrations have/have not influenced the market. This thread was really just supposed to be a thoughtless input type of thing. Thus the Chit Chat.[Edited on November 1, 2010 at 9:11 PM. Reason : gaylord perry was more the politician than blyleven]

B.J. Lawson- he REALLY thought Morgan Freeman was narrating his campaign ad
11/1/2010 9:35:52 PM
If you heard god's voice, you'd believe too.
11/1/2010 9:41:37 PM
can you link me to this ad...I am having trouble with the googles and not finding it.
11/1/2010 9:45:14 PM
http://www.wral.com/news/local/politics/video/8548061/#/vid8548061The mind-boggling thing about it is that his campaign publicly admitted that they thought it was actually Morgan Freeman.
11/1/2010 9:48:33 PM
it kind of does sound like him. I would be confused.
11/1/2010 9:49:22 PM
I, too, thinked it could be Morgan.
11/1/2010 9:50:35 PM
sounds a little too southern to be him IMO, but def close"runnin on his record" ...but parts like this are too southernand anyways how would his own campaign not know who narrated his own campaign ad? i'm so confused right now about the entire situation. lol.[Edited on November 1, 2010 at 9:56 PM. 11/1/2010 9:50:58 PM
LOL It does sound like him. A LOT like him. BUT GD, how the fuck can you not know who did the voice over in your own ad?? Was he joking when he said he thought it was Morgan Freeman? Or some other context that we're missing here??
11/1/2010 9:53:10 PM
It definitely sounds like Morgan Freeman, but anyone with common sense should realize that Morgan Freeman's voice work probably costs more than Lawson's entire advertising budget. If the campaign manager was at least mildly competent he would have said "any resemblance to Morgan Freeman's voice is coincidental".
11/1/2010 9:55:38 PM
^ this. Lawson's not stupid, and I really don't know how to take this whole kerfuffle.

11/1/2010 10:59:22 PM
Lawson really thought he got Morgan Freeman for $4500? What a fucking moron.

I live in Delaware. I am gonna vote for Christine O'Donnell just to troll the shit out of America. From what I hear, a lot of people are doing it just to be funny. It'd be hilarious if she won.

11/2/2010 10:49:51 AM
Yeah it'd be hilarious wasting my federal tax dollars paying a crazy person to sit in Congress
11/2/2010 11:04:04 AM
Joke is on me. Went to check to make sure my supposed polling place was legit online and I'm still registered in CA despite registering (at least filling out what I needed to) when I got my NC license... Oh well.

Just vote straight (R), pick your local electorates, pick your appeals judges, and laugh at the constitutional amendment.
11/2/2010 1:29:00 PM
Prop 19I voted no
11/2/2010 1:32:02 PM
why did you vote no?
11/2/2010 1:32:30 PM
Because I don't want it legalized. I don't think its a good idea, and its going to be more accessible to youth. also I believe its the wrong approach to fix our economy. Also know a few pot growers/dealers who don't want it legalized b/c they'll lose money. Honestly its really not hard to get a medical card for medical MJ so if you want it that bad its not that hard to begin with.
