I used to hate them. I have not tried them in quite a while, so I want to try them again to see how I feel about them now.[Edited on November 4, 2010 at 10:15 AM. Reason : they look kind of like roaches though :-/]

^True. I'm definitely not a parody poster either. But I felt that both were quality...yet probably won't get a lot of traffic.

Tried to find a better picture of dates, but I'm lazy and this is the best I could do:Though they might not be the prettiest food, they are delicious. I love dates and figs.

Do they have that mushy texture like figs? It has been so long since I had a fresh one that I can't remember. But I tried a dried one not all that long ago and wasn't the biggest fan. I do not really like the texture of figs or persimmons so maybe dates and I are just not meant to be.

^I used a combination of dates, figs, currants, and creme de cassis to braise a rack of lamb last Valentines Day. Shit was delicious...but took FOREVER.

I worked a place that stuffed dates with blue cheese, wrapped them in serrano ham, and dropped them in fryer for a little bit. Fucking delicious.
