So a person I was talking to recently angrily brought this subject up. This person is white and it got me to thinking that I have only really heard this term used by white people in reference to interracial dating. Is it a notion in other races and cultures? Also, what does TWW think of this term?

There are different terms that mean essentially the same thing among blacks and asians. Sell-out basically means you gave up your culture's values for white/mainstream ones. There's also "oreo" (black on the outside, white on the inside) and "bamboo" (yellow on the outside, white on the inside).
