Right now we are taking up some of our floors and there are a couple of hallways with tile on a cement slab. The tile isn't that bad; it is the grout that is a pain in the arse to get off.

damnit, everywhere else in the house the tile is on laminate or wood backing. Only the tile we are trying to take up is directly on the slabFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I did this on a 300sqft kitchen. I ended up using a hammer drill that has a hammer only option with a chisel bit to chip off all the thinset. Took me several days over the course of a week or two.
