So my roommate was telling me that someone she knows said that in December some whacky shit is going to be going down with the government. Apparently they are going to have to admit to us they have known about intelligent alien life forms for years or something. We laughed at what was said.
12/1/2010 12:25:42 AM
^ you should still be laughing.
12/1/2010 12:27:11 AM
Well it was getting close to my bedtime so I had to retire to my room.
12/1/2010 12:29:13 AM
AstroWhoreI kinda like that one actually. If I was a conductor I'd be a AstroMaestro or a pastor.... AstroPastor.....
12/1/2010 12:45:52 AM
It's going to be super vague assumption based upon data that will be seen as very ambiguous. I bet it'll be something along the lines of 'We detected that the hydrogen content of Titan has been decreased and have determined that there possibly some form of life that is consuming it' or something about Rhea.
12/1/2010 12:55:02 AM
^AstroPessimist
12/1/2010 12:57:25 AM
Or maybe they have developed something to get into the water on Europa
12/1/2010 9:47:03 AM
^Right. It's not going to be anything about alien lifeforms or possible alien lifeforms. They've already stated it's just an advancement in their search methods.

12/2/2010 11:39:43 AM
Weren't the aliens in Evolution arsenic-based? And allergic to shampoo or something? Also I always thought the search for Earth-like planets because they're the only ones likely to sustain life seemed a little silly.
12/2/2010 11:42:34 AM

well obviously
12/2/2010 2:14:27 PM
so how is it alien if its from earth. Now its an amazing discovery but it just means there is a lot of things that need to still be discovered here on earth. That being said I still wouldn't be surprised if aliens are out there.
12/2/2010 2:14:42 PM
The big question on my mind is if the lady talking about the discovery has ever been laid. Watching her talk about the discovery made me want to punt a small child.
12/2/2010 2:17:41 PM
The tenant that life itself is built upon phosphorous has now been undermined...I liked the ASU professor's statement that he's been studying phosphorous his entire career, and teaching scores of students that it's the backbone of life, and that now he's at least partially incorrect.
