Nick remember that super bowl party we went to where we played (or watched people play) wii at half time? Someone made really incredible meatballs. Was it you?
2/4/2011 11:56:52 AM
I am still trying to figure out what to bring for the super bowl party (if we make it, but it is looking more and more like we will)It is a crock pot cookoff, and I was thinking of either of my crock pot bbq's... but apparently that is a pretty common thing where I'm going. hmmmm.... oh, and I don't feel like dong my chili either- also will probably be a couple of chili's there
2/4/2011 12:00:29 PM
Dong Chili? Tell me more
2/4/2011 12:02:32 PM
Crock Pot BBQ is the tits. Maybe you could do a beef brisket instead. That would be different and just as delicious.
2/4/2011 12:10:08 PM

my Mom makes beef sandwiches in the crockpot that are pretty killer
2/4/2011 12:18:35 PM
yeah, i have some recipies for sweet bbq pulled beef that is pretty damn tasty, but I've never done the ribs... seems interestingas for sammiches, I love those damn ham sammiches, and another thing I've made before is open face mini reubens (also amazing). And as for buffalo dip in a crock pot- I feel like it works out better because you don't have to worry about it solidifying
2/4/2011 12:20:28 PM
you do the reuben dip with cocktail rye?that shit is awesome
2/4/2011 12:25:49 PM
honestly, I just do it on a normal marble rye, sliced, and then each slice cut in half
2/4/2011 12:28:06 PM
This thread is making me hungry.
2/4/2011 12:30:13 PM

2/4/2011 1:43:12 PM
about that recipe, will you pm me your exact steps and serving style for it? even if I don't do it for this party, it will be done in the near future for something because it sounds pretty darn good
2/4/2011 1:43:31 PM
i might make these instead. they were supposed to be 'healthy'. i've yet to find much healthy about them, which makes me excited to make them....1 cup butterscotch chips1/2 cup honey1/2 cup peanut butter5 cups rice krispiesEverything but the krispies on medium heat until well melted/blended. Fold in krispies.
2/4/2011 1:48:11 PM
uh, who exactly called those healthy?
2/4/2011 1:54:53 PM
couple of websites. i just searched something like: rice honey peanut butter rice crispy treats after I saw them on television (Today show I think?) where they also called them healthy. When i searched that string there were like 3-4 sites on the first page that had 'healthy' included in the name.my shortest answer would be because there is no butter included. slightly expanded, i would imagine these people see marshmellow product as evil, and honey sugar as health.
2/4/2011 2:00:02 PM
I guess a lot of people still think low fat = healthy. makes me

These sweet things make me wanna make puppy chow...In fact, i think I will. And I may or may not share it with anyone.
2/4/2011 2:14:35 PM
I have some buffalo chicken dip that is tasty.
2/4/2011 2:16:44 PM
I had a random craving for puppy chow this morning. I wish that was "healthy"
2/4/2011 2:17:57 PM
i've never heard of this "puppy chow," but I have a feeling I will be schooled in it in a couple of hours, first hand
2/4/2011 2:19:11 PM
I'm sure you have had it at some point. It's the chocolate peanut butter Chex mix stuff covered in powdered sugar.[Edited on February 4, 2011 at 2:22 PM. Reason : and if you haven't, I feel bad for you. It's magic. ]
2/4/2011 2:20:19 PM
I want to make Crispix puppy chow and buffalo chicken dip, I think.
2/4/2011 2:38:50 PM
You are right, Amna. I don't know why I always forget Crispix are not the same as Chex.
2/4/2011 2:40:08 PM
OMG...I did not even pay attention that you posted you were thinking the same thing. I just blindly posted what I wanted to make without reading previous posts. WOW! ]
