ok, so i have choices for upcoming spring break.I will be traveling with the lady friend.Do I go to Vegas with my compadres during bar week there and spend money on the flight, hotel and nightlife and then going to see the Grand CanyonorDo I go to a Caribbean island instead and not worry with nightlife but live it up all day on the island via snorkel, sailing, etc? just the two of us.cruise is a possibility as well.not sure which may be the pricier of the two.shes never been out of the country but is from the Phoenix area[Edited on February 8, 2011 at 6:26 PM. definately Caribbean... there is no substitute

#2...lady friend in vegas with your compadres would be lame. unless they all have compadre lady friends, which will make it feel like a 40 year old trip with old college compadres.

Caribbean then, but if I read a thread when you get back that you two did not get beyond the "friends zone" and you bitch and whine about it because you didn't make your move, I'm gonna troll you really really badscary right?
2/8/2011 6:38:10 PM
its wayyyy past that point, trust me. there are no qualms. but that was one classic thread.so now...cruise or straight up stay for a few days on an island?
2/8/2011 6:40:12 PM
is she going to pitch in and pay her way or are you taking her? that would be an expensive trip to splurge on after only a few months. coming from a guy who got flamed for taking his gf of 4 months to the mountains for v-day

Personally an island, cruise is something you do when you are more comfortable with each other. Plus, theres so much nature and remote areas to explore in some of the caribbean islands, which one(s) were you thinking of going to? I've done a few shots down there last year and were fun. It's amazing what you can find. Although I really want to go to Hawaii cause one of my friends, who happens to be a fairly expensive makeup artist for playboy, knows some nice places in this remote island that you have to get to by boat only with a 3 room house next to a waterfall. Its suppose to be epic, and expensive.

we've been friends for a long time and took it up to the second level.we'd be splitting the trip...the only thing i may pay for is the hotel or lodging.I know a few people on St. John so we may head to st, thomas and see if we cant meet up with them.Ive also considered anywhere else that spirit airlines flies to...from what I have seen they are the cheapest?? any other sites to consider?this would be about mid-march.

one of my friends bartends down in St. Thomas and she's pretty hot. Kinda want to visit her now. lol She did leave the invitation open to visit her whenever.

what bar? anyone know of a site better than spirit to look up flights?one thats all inclusive of everyyyyyyy site?
2/8/2011 7:28:47 PM
isn't that what kayak.com is?
2/8/2011 7:32:36 PM
do you have sex with the lady friend?if so, Caribbeanif not, Vegas

I'd say try to go to an all-inclusive resort. Sandals has really good deals right now. You can usually save a ton of money if you look at all the deals and shit they have running. I went last year to Sandals Ocho Rios in Jamaica and it was a blasty blast.

^we did that to cancun a few years back. It was crazy cheap - like $160/person for 5 days.
2/8/2011 11:07:24 PM
theres no way it will be that cheap.whats some sites that have that kinda thing?def. have it narrowed down to a few places at the moment and id LOVE to find it for a price that low.

St Thomas is cool, but it's very undeveloped. I think like 95% of the island is national park. I would visit, but definitely not spend the whole time there.[Edited on February 9, 2011 at 1:58 AM. Reason : Actually, I may be thinking about St John........]

you areand its 3/4 of the island.

Fuck Sandals. I was gonna do a job for a month for them till I found out that their budget was 200/day and no free vacay days, they are not spending their marketing dollars wisely. And those fuckers would work a photographer to death. Seriously, they had a photographer almost died back in the 90s in a helicopter because the pilot got to close to some power lines or some shit and wrecked in the ocean. He almost drown. Sandals wanted him to continue shooting the following week. NO man! all his camera gear is soaked and he almost died. that's a wrap for the whole shoot.Cancun is hella cheap and yes they had specials a few years ago for 160 a person for spring break. That was all inclusive with house alcohol too. A lot of resorts had a bunch of health scares, forgot what it was, but it was something seriously that really crippled the tourism industry. I was down there about 4 times at various Oasis hotels doing shoots and they were empty. Good for me since less ppl to deal with on set for photo shoots, but it was just eerie and those motherfuckers need to keep the damn pool open past 7pm! wtf it's a resort, put some mother fucking lights in it.[Edited on February 9, 2011 at 2:36 AM. a friend of mine just went to cancun on an all inclusive vacation. Riu Palace – Las Americas was the resort. No idea the price, he is somewhat frivolous with money so what he described as "fair price" to me may not really be so. But it's worth looking at. His pictures were pretty awesome so it looks like a good place.
