I'll admit Radiohead has a few really really good songs, but the vast majority of their library of music is a bunch of nonsensical sounds that amount to complete rubbish.

I highly doubt that you've never heard of Radiohead
2/20/2011 5:14:31 PM
^^^ so if you've got "everything in its right place" and enjoy itexplain to me which radiohead songs are a bunch of nonsensical noisesbecause that track is a keyboard loop and a vocal that's chopped all to hell, and despite being a good song, it really only serves to set the mood for what's to come on the balance of kid a after a guitar-heavy record and three years of waitingi don't understand people who just pull tracks off records and are content with that ]
2/20/2011 5:48:27 PM
why was Pablo Honey so retarded and then they made a huge progression with The Bends, and an even bigger one with OK ComputerI don't think I'll ever understand..

I guess we just hear stuff differently. Regardless of where they stand in my ranking of Radiohead songs, I definitely can't see any reason why Myxomatosis, Packt Like Sardines..., Backdrifts, of Sit Down Stand Up could be considered "nonsensical noises" at all. (I really like both Sit Down Stand Up and Myxomatosis. Esp SDSU).Treefingers and Hunting Bears are instrumental transition tracks. Of course they don't sound good on their own. They only work in the context of the album. (Though I will admit Hunting Bears is weak, it's certainly not indicative of Radiohead as a whole in any way at all).Overall out of the ones you listed, 3 are from HTTT and 2 are from Amnesiac. Both of those albums are probably the two weakest Radiohead albums (ignoring Pablo Honey) and 2 of their hardest albums to "get into". In other words, disliking those songs certainly doesn't mean you won't enjoy their other, better albums. If you haven't actually tried to listen to Radiohead from a full album perspective, I recommend OK Computer, In Rainbows, Kid A, and The Bends. Kid A is a little less accessible (though extremely awesome). The other 3 are all pretty accessible and are great.[Edited on February 20, 2011 at 8:12 PM. Reason : ]

Karma Police is a good song never heard any of their other shit, but since that was the only song i could find on kazaa i've decided that they were a band that was only interested in making 1 or 2 good songs every album. Guess i was rightI'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

I think Radiohead is an acquired taste...it certainly took me awhile before I gained an appreciation for them. They've been one of my favorites for a long time. Generally, at least for me, 'The Bends' was the easiest album to get into considering it probably has the more 'catchier' songs along with OK Computer. When I first heard 'In Rainbows' I hated it, but after a few listens, it became one of my favorites. Those 3 probably get the most play on my ipod. I know alot of people swear by Kid A....while I like Kid A, I don't like it as much as most diehard fans
2/21/2011 12:50:03 AM
as I said on FB, I can never understand a god damn word that Thom Yorke sings except for "creep" and "from a great height"... I like their music, but I need a fucking lyric sheet to know what the fuck he is saying. Probably why their albums always have to grow on me a bit, first few times I hear them its just some great music with mumbling going on at the same time.[Edited on February 21, 2011 at 1:28 AM.
