I keep seeing these stupid commercials and went to the site to figure out what the hell it was. They charge you $0.60 per bid and it increments the time each bid. They are making a shit ton of money off of these auctions. Why didn't I think of this?!

such websites have been around for a while; there was a long thread about one from a few years ago.they're scams really. can't believe Mike & Mike did a commercial for one. Can't some media people at least have some respect for their listeners?so, in summary [old]]

i've seen plenty of sites like these... if you are lucky and wait long enough, you can score some sweet deals, but they are definitely getting loot off of thisthe trick that gets you is that the clock resets everytime a new bid is put in once you get down to the wire

A site like this that specialized in 'renting' hookers would make millions a day

I'll partner up with you on that site, mr EMCE

I'm in as well. Charge potential Johns $1 dollar buck to bid on a lovely 30 minute block with different hookers.

nah, legally, I don't think there is anything wrong with them - the catch is clear and upfront, I just think anyone who participates is a moron; and as a capitalist, I'd love to see the market eventually phase these things out, seeing as how they are "scamish" . but I don't think it's so great that such influential media people willingly do advertisements for such a "scam", sure they have the right, blah, blah, blah; my personal preference is that I just wish such people didn't advertise for them.
