^^I moved it over to the left of the URL bari remember it being in a better spot, but now I can't remember exactly where it was but I feel like it was better...
4/10/2011 11:42:26 PM
The one thing that i'm kinda pissed about is that you used to be able to type in like thewolfweb and it 'Google I'm feeling lucky' the result, now its just a standard search. Is there a way to fix that? For some websites its easy enough to just ctrl+enter but some i could just type in the acronym for it and it would come up even if the acronym wasn't in the actual main page (like the title in the drop down list when you're entering a URL)I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

I hated that "feature"I always ended up putting something like "g" right before the term (based on the Opera keyword for a Google search), so I'd get to a Google search pagebecause often the first result for the original search term was not in fact relevant
4/10/2011 11:55:07 PM
just downloaded it... i'm surprised how different it is
4/11/2011 12:04:08 AM
yeah it was a little TOO different until I realized I could customize stuff
4/11/2011 12:19:39 AM
^^^ so you hated a good feature because you were used to using a shitty browser?I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
4/11/2011 1:43:39 AM
^I hated a shitty feature because it was shittyEvery other goddam browser (even Opera now) brings up the results page of your favorite search engine for whatever you put in the address bar if it can be determined that what's in there isn't a URL; I'd rather not have such a browser decide for me that what I really wanted was the first search resultWait a min, Safari doesn't support searching from the address bar at all, then again it sucks.

I'm surprised that Firefox isn't whining about plugin updatesand you should listen to all the bellyaching your browser gives you, because Flash, Java, and Adobe Reader are responsible for most of the exploits used on malicious websites around the world, rather than vulnerabilities in individual browsers.
4/11/2011 9:49:13 AM
i recently switched to chrome. i like it
4/11/2011 9:56:15 AM
I'm hating FF4. It slows down all the time when loading the most basic sites. Been playing around with Chrome and I'm likin it. Prolly gonna switch.
4/11/2011 11:28:53 AM
ever since I realized I could customize, I've loved FF4 ever sinceexcept for the holding down the back arrow to go back several pagesand the inability to save tabs for future browsing (at least I don't think you can do this)
4/11/2011 3:43:58 PM
i dig it
4/11/2011 3:47:00 PM
does it open any faster (after booting up) than the old one did?I never noticed really, because I'm just used to having to wait 20+ seconds for it to load
