anyone have experience with any cool vests? i have to buy some for under hazmat suits, i know we have some military and firefighters on this site and wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for specific brands or models

yes.

when I get home I'll find the NSN of the vest I have (and wore on 2 tours in iraq, diffferent plates of course). Its pretty awesome.
