Hurricanes are much worse. NC had a real bad tornado outbreak with basically 1 day notice. A hurricane with the same notice would have killed an order of magnitude more.Tornado imma let you finish but hurricane is the worst wind storm of all time
4/19/2011 11:35:05 PM
Yeah, everyone knows hurricanes are worse. They also contain a lot more energy than tornadoes too...
4/19/2011 11:35:42 PM
Hurricane Beyonce
4/19/2011 11:36:15 PM
What about a hurricane with a tornado in it?
4/19/2011 11:36:40 PM
what about when hurricanes drop tornadoes
4/19/2011 11:36:55 PM
yeah, but you inherently have much more notice with a hurricane.most of the warnings for the Sanford, Dunn, and Fayetteville twisters were only issued minutes before the funnels formed. Granted, the media/meteorologists had been saying that we were to have "severe weather", but pinpointing the time and place more than 15 to 20 minutes ahead of time is near impossible with tornados[Edited on April 19, 2011 at 11:37 PM. a megacane?
outer bands of hurricanes can spawn a tornado, but they are usually very sporadic and hard to predict/identify on radar... hopscotching here and there#1 killer of hurricanes is storm surge and associated flooding
4/19/2011 11:37:36 PM
what about when a cyclone and a hurricane fight
4/19/2011 11:37:50 PM
what a stupid fucking thread
4/19/2011 11:37:54 PM
TornacaneTornado spawned from a hurricaneget your shit pushed son
4/19/2011 11:38:08 PM
Tornadoes have never won the Stanley Cup.
4/19/2011 11:38:23 PM
nados and hurr'canes do not get along

Megacane vs SupercycloneComing to SyFy this summer

4/19/2011 11:39:28 PM
Hurricanes get me on the news...tornados do not.
4/19/2011 11:39:46 PM
who would win in a fight hurricane ditka or tornado ditka
4/19/2011 11:39:48 PM
it is much worse to be hit directly by a major tornado than a major hurricane. A major hurricane is worse overall because it has a less intense effect on an area hundreds of times bigger than the tornado.
4/19/2011 11:42:20 PM
Just ask anyone in the playoffs if they are worried about hurricanes right nowI would say Tornadoes are worse
4/19/2011 11:42:54 PM

THUNDER
4/19/2011 11:44:00 PM
4/19/2011 11:47:28 PM
it really should be tornado vs earthquake
4/19/2011 11:48:21 PM
Well advanced warning does lower fatalities but can't affect property damage. Kinda like how a fatal car collision is like 80 times worse than a pdo, I'd say an old person is worth like 9 houses or 50 trailer homes and then increase the value as they get younger. A baby is worth like 200 houses
4/19/2011 11:51:23 PM
What about a 4 week old fetus?
4/19/2011 11:53:14 PM
what if the baby would grow up to be hitler. how many houses then?
4/19/2011 11:53:57 PM
^^^^if people were somehow unaware of the nasty weather coming Saturday and weren't on notice then there's not much you can do to help them.
4/19/2011 11:54:36 PM
Well it can't be completely exponential because of the aforementioned hitler baby effect. Probably 500 houses is the limit
4/19/2011 11:56:40 PM
I GOT A TORNADO FOR YOUR HURRICANE BABY!
4/19/2011 11:56:45 PM
Governor rtc407 would demolish 500 homes in order to save a baby mid-deliveryMaybe I'd wait a month to avoid demolishing homes at the infant mortality rate + viable infants[Edited on April 20, 2011 at 12:01 AM. Reason : Infant mortality]

Yeah but without Hitler, the world could easily be a worse place today. People would have never opened their eyes to genocide and ethnic cleansing might not be such an ugly thing in our eyes. Also, the innovations of ww2 would have come slower. We would literally be living in a different world.
4/20/2011 12:05:00 AM
tell that to the old jews who remember the horror
4/20/2011 12:05:42 AM
I'll taken them both over boring sunny days! I've been through the eye of both Fran and Hugo but experienced many others. As for tornadoes I've been 1/8mi from an HP tornado at night so I didn't see it but saw the effects the next day.
