8/10/2011 2:13:59 PM
anyone taht pays that price for 6 nuggets is a freaking idiot.
8/10/2011 2:18:18 PM
don't know if that worked, but it was at the Harris Teeter in Cameron Village- they had cases of BL for 13.88, and 18-packs were 13.99... yet they were almost out of 18 packs and had plenty of cases left, and while standing there, I saw someone come and pick up an 18 pack over the case
8/10/2011 2:26:09 PM
hahaha
8/10/2011 2:26:19 PM
Was the 18 bottles? If its just two of us, I'd prefer 18 bottles over 24 cans.
8/10/2011 2:27:19 PM
nah, definitely cans
8/10/2011 2:28:52 PM
^^ your logic is flawed sir[Edited on August 10, 2011 at 2:29 PM. Reason : ^^]
8/10/2011 2:29:37 PM
This is the case at every McDonald's.
8/10/2011 2:30:34 PM
i miss old rasputin $6 for 12 cause total wine messed up. i shit you not i bought 60 bucks worth and drank it for months. weeks.. well... i drank it for a while.

When you're talking about swill like BL or ML it doesn't matter if it's a can or bottle. And this time of year is pool season and it's frowned upon to take bottles to the pool.
8/10/2011 2:33:27 PM
Agreed ^ other than that only nitrogen charged beers tast good in cans.
8/10/2011 2:34:59 PM
dont know if that works, but i found the pricing of this deodorant to be poorly planned out.[Edited on August 10, 2011 at 2:36 PM. Reason : and poorly labeled, for that matter....as you dont save anything.]
8/10/2011 2:36:19 PM
^^^haha I don't think you can call it "swill" when you still readily purchase the stuff (last time a checked, we all still drink domestic lights at tailgates and parties)[Edited on August 10, 2011 at 2:37 PM. Reason : f]
8/10/2011 2:36:51 PM
If cans were better than bottles, bars would serve them more often than the occasional tallboy or PBR.People prefer bottles, goddammit. I'm not really even willing to argue that.
8/10/2011 2:38:25 PM
i don't... i drink domestics though at tailgates... not so much parties. certainly not BYOB eventsIf i have to drink light beer its miller, bud light tastes like someone took a beer and dumped 4 oz of sugar water in it.Can's aren't perceived as classy. just look at the bar in charlotte that closed called cans... no class there. [Edited on August 10, 2011 at 2:40 PM. Reason : .]
8/10/2011 2:39:18 PM
it's all phallic for you folkscans are better for the beer (completely shield it from light, completely sealed, and they cool down faster)you should be pouring your beers into pint glasses anyway!that being said, I prefer glass bottles myself but this is why oskar blues and avery are making the strong push to can good beers[Edited on August 10, 2011 at 2:41 PM. Probably priced that way because they have buy one get one free coupons for 6 pieces out now

I got nuggets just the other day after not having eaten McDonald's (besides breakfast) in many years. They were the disappoint.I think they're supposed to be "more healthy" now or something.[Edited on August 10, 2011 at 6:18 PM. Reason : ^At tailgates? Lame.]

piss beer and mcdonalds. you think these items are marketed to people good at math or gluttons?
8/10/2011 6:30:17 PM
8/10/2011 6:48:44 PM
I get shit for taking anything of a higher quality than a domestic light beer to tailgates.I don't drink light beer in any other scenario, I don't know why I should feel compelled because of some trucks and Bojangles.
8/10/2011 7:03:45 PM
haha well when I'm only going to be having 3-6 beers, I want good stuff... but parties and tailgates, I'm looking more at 12-24+ beers, so I like having a light beer. better on the stomach, head, and less of a hangover the next day - also better for chugging and drinking games (and no, I don't think I'm too old for drinking games )
8/10/2011 7:07:47 PM
I am the douche who brings miller lite to a classier event and gets hammered drinking 10 while everyone else sips on one of their fancy smancy beers.
8/10/2011 7:10:15 PM
Wait so I'm not supposed to bring some seven dollars a bottle microbrew and a tulip glass to a tailgate???
8/10/2011 7:10:35 PM
haha, I have no problem bringing some nice beers to a tailgate to start with, but I wouldn't bring an aerating glass
8/10/2011 7:12:49 PM
The only good beer I don't get shit for bringing to a tailgate is Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout, because I have a bunch of redneck Farmville friends who make exception for Duck-Rabbit.
8/10/2011 7:15:01 PM
^7 yes, smart people realize that, but most people will still use the coupon and think they are getting a good deal when they are really paying .69 cents more.

The other weekend we ran a three day sale on Nat Lt suitcases for $9.99, so of course I didn't worry much about keeping a lot of extra 12 and 18 packs, and I'll be damned if I didn't run out of 18 pack cans in one store with their price being about $10.50.
8/10/2011 7:54:44 PM
Is a suitcase a 30pk?
8/10/2011 7:56:13 PM

pezking, a suitcase is a 30 pack
8/10/2011 10:20:01 PM
http://www.polyvore.com/bud_light_12_oz_suitcase/thing?id=16663289everyone I know has always been referring a 24 pack when using the term "suitcase"since that is the largest we can get around here, most people just call it a casemost 30packs are doublewides, and the 24packs look more like a suitcase (one layer), which is where it originated (or so I have been told). It is all moot though... [Edited on August 10, 2011 at 10:36 PM. Reason : more wasted time on here... sigh]
8/10/2011 10:33:42 PM
Ive heard 30 packs be called flats before
8/11/2011 9:08:13 AM
i've heard 30 packs called 'cubes'
8/11/2011 9:09:22 AM
yeah 30-packs were always "Cubes"and while doing beer samplings, it drives me crazy when we run the $13.88/24packs and $13.99/18packs deal and people are like, "I dont need to get that much beer, I wont drink it all"come on man, you can buy the 24pack for cheaper and give away the "extra" six beers. Hell, you can throw them away if you want, its still cheaper
8/11/2011 9:14:38 AM
i've never bought beer and said "i won't drink it all!"i'll drink it at some point, maybe not all at once, but it will be consumedfucking idiots

I think a lot of times it's people with drinking problems who avoid 24 pks.
