Very dangerous, indeed, and Im not just saying that because he has GOP status.

What I don't understand is his attack on higher education, and more specifically the issue over tenure track positions. Sure, FINE, some profs hit 60 and basically "retire" while still on salary, I will give you that. But, the big carrot of "tenure track" is one of the major incentives for attracting highly skilled scientists into academia, because without that incentive many of them could go into the industry and make prolly double their starting salary. So, his attacks seem ironic simply because they come from someone that is all about giving people the "incentive" (i.e. tax cuts and shit) to make money.
