Since we always wait until we are out of clean dishes to load any into the dishwasher, all the food has hardened onto the dishes so it takes quite a bit of scrubbing before handWe know we could easily rinse the dishes off right after using them but we never do

a good rinse and a scrub if stuck on

After living for six months without a dishwasher, we've gotten into the habit of hand washing dishes. We've had our new dishwasher less than a week and we are pre washing even though we could get away without it. I'm sure that in another week we will be down to a quick rinse.

A rinse to get any chunks. Its a fucking dishwasher, it should do its job. If it doesn't, you need to buy a new one.
