I thought that was the most controversial song he ever released; the lyric "We'll put a boot in your ass, it's the American way." sounded like typical right-wing jingoism and got him painted as a fucktarded warmonger.then I found out the song was originally meant solely for the troops and was actually much more somber than the soundbite suggestedand also that he's a Democrat

Yeah, I think he's a little more thoughtful than his horrible music lets on.And mid-90s Toby Keith is still my jam...I pretty much stopped listening in '98 with "Getcha Some," but I was still on board the same year with "Dreamwalkin.'"
