I just received a text message from "tAntoinetteCrawfordp2@iphone5beta.co.cc" which states:

"(Congrats!) Your number was selected to Try and Keep an iPhone5 for free! Confirm now at http: //iphone5survey.iphonefilmblog.com"


Why am I getting this as a text message instead of as an email? and how is it that my number was compromised?

Or am I just missing something here.

It's a scam. There is no iPhone 5 right now.

somebody could have set you up to receive junk to your phone's email address

for us cellular, I know the email addresses are 1234567890@email.uscc.net

its similar for other carriers
