10/31/2011 11:47:00 PM
do you ever hard boil an egg and not eat the yolk
10/31/2011 11:49:30 PM
pretty much all the time. my dad has high cholesterol and always discarded the yolks (not sure if that's legit science - i seem to recall punchmonk saying it was ok to eat them maybe??) so i always grew up doing the same
10/31/2011 11:51:35 PM
Balut is where it's at.
interestingwhat's that greenish stuff on the border of the white and the yolk in a hard boiled egg?
10/31/2011 11:52:52 PM
Unfortinately I know what Balut is (((((((And I have had it, can't say Ive had the embryo though. My mother takes that shit down with a chili sauce, and for good reason; tastes metallic lol
10/31/2011 11:53:28 PM
Eww nasty.I just eat eggs. And sometimes bacon or sausage. But mostly just the eggs along with some Green Vibrance drank and a multi-vitamin.If I ever have a physical come back with cholesterol problems I might look into this I guess.[Edited on November 1, 2011 at 12:15 AM. Reason : l]

i'm terrible at boiling eggs... i always over cook them or under cook them. I might start buying the pre-cooked hard boiled eggs. I'm tired of these sloppy, slimy aigs! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc3SEBA-9nU
11/1/2011 8:58:38 AM
10/10 reference.
11/1/2011 8:59:10 AM
I wonder if I balut would be tasty dipped in butter
11/1/2011 9:02:45 AM
^^^ Easiest way to boil eggs is fill the pot with water, place the eggs in the water making sure they're all in one layer, turn on the heat and bring to a boil, immediately turn off heat and allow eggs to sit for 15 minutes, drain eggs and cool with cold water to prevent from cooking further.

Yeah that's like the only thing I really remember from back when I had a poultry science internship lol.
11/1/2011 9:43:21 AM
If I'd thought about it I probably could have come up with that. I had always just assumed that something in the yolk was oxidizing at boiling temps and it was just a normal part of cooking an egg, never gave it much thought. I've been slightly overboiling my eggs for years!
11/1/2011 10:36:44 AM
i had a 1350 calorie / ~120g protein breakfast.but that's just how i roll.fatty up.
11/1/2011 10:48:12 AM

11/1/2011 11:27:47 AM
8 jumbo eggs fried in ~0.5tbspn butter, 30oz 2% milk, 1 scoop of protein powder.[Edited on November 1, 2011 at 11:33 AM. Reason : and 48oz water and 16oz black coffee][Edited on November 1, 2011 at 11:33 AM. Reason : over like an hour]
