Would be better if they had a more extensive selection of toppings like subway, but kept the better quality.Other than that, Jersey Mike's FUCK YEAH!

I eat there a few times a week. love their club sandwich, mike's way (no tomato). they really blow subway, quizno's, jimmy john's, etc. out of the water.
11/20/2011 5:43:17 PM
I just wish they had olives...other than that, they're my favorite submarine sammich mod (besides amac)
11/20/2011 5:44:14 PM
I loved the one back home, but the one up here never impressed me... I haven't been back in about 5 or 6 years, so maybe they have gotten better?
11/20/2011 5:45:31 PM
I'd go there all the time if they didn't charge 11 bucks for a large italian, so I get my 6 dollar sub at Publix instead
11/20/2011 5:45:47 PM
don't be such a jealous girlfriend Førteseriously, join the club. i'll even spot you $50 on http://www.sharebuilder.comyou get these $5 free trades over time and i have a shit load saved up. dude it's easy. i started with barely over $1k on my first acct. that account is sitting at just over 4k now. yeh that one took over 6 years of work... but you just keep investing in things you feel are important and can make a profit. i have investments in tech (apple among them), energy(even solar firms, i love solar and think its obviously going to kill oil someday and i'm banking a lot on it), and even tesla and their electric cars. we aren't all billionaires. but if you start taking the streets chanting and trying to raise taxes on capital gains and other profits and threaten our way of life it really really gets on our nerves i'm sure you'd understand but yeh i'm just a white, racist, fox news, religious, homo-phobe constantly paranoid about everything around me so make sure you don't pay attn to any of this.you just don't like to admit that the $x i have on the market right now is actually translating into paychecks going to some other family making brilliant products that are shaping our society that we all have a hand in! the beauty of it is i can pull it out at a decent rate and take care of myself when i'm in a jam. kind of like the opposite of a credit card. instead of negative money in a bank it's positive liquid that you don't owe shit too.but that goes against your way of thinking. b/c of our 'superior' plane you shove us into, we automagically owe you everything. thanks.oh this isn't my day job. i work as hard as the rest of you assholes, and get 95% of all my cash from slaving away daily like the rest of you. but i dont randomly believe my tuition should be free and some schmucks should just have to front the bill for every lazy asshole in this world. it breeds laziness. and i hate lazy people more than about anything. so yeh. maybe that explains it.you know how pryderi hates conservatives for some random reason? i'm the same way with lazy assholes who refuse to get shit done.also i really fucking want this car:OMG NO WAI. A CONSERVATARD WANTING THAT? NAW MANGOH and the best part is i have a plan to get one. i put around 5k into tesla and figured 'what the fuck', and that i'd let it grow until i decide i have enough to finance one or buy it. yeh it hasn't grown too much, but it HAS grown. so basically i'm building my own tesla, and fuck you if you dont have the same drive to do the same and want to tear down or tax the system to hell that makes this shit possible.

YES! They need black olives, not green olives. And cucumber! Cucumber gives it that extra "snap" without adding salt.
11/20/2011 5:48:05 PM
Get on their email list...they're always sending coupons for a dollar off and whatnot.I forward my emails to Wordsworth every time I get it [Edited on November 20, 2011 at 5:49 PM. Reason : ^well duh black olives...and cucumbers would be fantastic]
11/20/2011 5:48:31 PM
I also enjoy black olives on pizza. Green is kind of , but tolerable. Black Olives can make almost ANYTHING better.
11/20/2011 5:50:05 PM
I must disagree... I know I might be in the minority, but I think olives are
11/20/2011 5:51:03 PM
shit I have a free sub coupon and now I want Jersey Mike'sbut I just got home, so I don't wanna leave again
11/20/2011 5:51:15 PM
^^ WHAT! You're surely kidding. I've had black olives on a bad day and it became the best day. You underestimate black olives.
11/20/2011 5:52:57 PM
lol I used to buy cans of whole black olives in college, put them in tupperware in the fridge and snack on them when I needed a pick-me-up.I'm weird, but they're delicious
11/20/2011 5:58:01 PM
i really about barfed reading that... I dislike olives almost as much as mushrooms
11/20/2011 6:00:37 PM
^^ I just ate them straight out of the can!^ FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!I LOVE MUSHROOMS TOO! Black Olive and Mushroom pizza = THE SHIT!
11/20/2011 6:04:58 PM
haha well if it is on pizza, in a calzone, or in a pasta dish, they won't stop me, but I'd prefer them not on there, and pick them off if I can- which is good for anyone in my vicinity who feels like you do because they will get my share!
11/20/2011 6:06:34 PM
olives = shitty
11/20/2011 6:15:11 PM
MisterGreen = shitty
11/20/2011 6:16:15 PM
OH SNAP
11/20/2011 6:16:53 PM
black olives are gross, green olives are awesome[Edited on November 20, 2011 at 6:19 PM. Reason : why cant you get green olives on subs?]
11/20/2011 6:18:52 PM
I like green olives, but they're so strong with other items on a sub. They're overpowering. And it's too strong with cheese on a pizza. It clashes.By itself though it is just nomalicious!
11/20/2011 6:21:21 PM
ya, I dont think green olives would work on a pizza but i'd totally get them on a subpersonal favorite is garlic stuffed green olives DELISHUS
11/20/2011 6:24:17 PM
I absolutely loooooove garlic stuffed green olives. Also, kalamata olives are the shit.
11/20/2011 7:08:13 PM
11/20/2011 7:32:41 PM
11/20/2011 7:42:47 PM
I, too, wish they had black olives.
11/21/2011 1:06:47 AM
I, myself, wish people would stop bitching about the lack of olives and just bring some for themselves next time. I'm just curious how often people top their sandwiches with olives anywhere other than Subway.
11/21/2011 1:33:10 AM
^ Being as how Subway is the largest, most popular sub/grinder joint in the US and that black olives are quite popular, your logic makes no sense. If there was no demand for such an item, people would not have it put on their sandwich. As for bringing my own olives, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of going to a place to have a sub made for you? I mean, if I wanted to make my own sub, I would buy the ingredients myself and just make it. If I'm going to pay $10 for a sub, I don't think it is asking much for a few items to be added for toppings...
11/21/2011 1:54:25 AM

i worked at the one at cary parkway/high house in high school. i ate so many free sandwiches. it was fantastic. i am looking forward to getting a sub when i come home for christmas. it's the one franchise i miss from home that i cant get here in DC, although we have Cosi and Potbelly's, so its a trade off. jersey mikes subs are still absolutely delicious though.
11/21/2011 11:53:19 AM
i don't understand Jimmy John's idea around toppings at all. Having each sandwich with their own and different combination of toppings makes it way too tedious to order and then add your own. Add that complexity to their "way too fast" mentality and you have employees who are impatient when you want to change something on a sandwich. ]
