I've become a huge supporter of this movementmaybe it's nostalgia, maybe it's knowing that the sender took a little extra effort, maybe it's the joy of getting a card in the mailemails are for pussies

Agreed! I've tried to be better about thank you cards. I still have some I need to send out. I even sent some to folks that helped us move after the baby was born. Felt better than just "hey thanks" considering I didn't lift a finger.

I get really pissed of when I give someone a wedding present and they never mail me a thank you card.

I do this on occasion. There's a really old lady that my mom knows who makes me a handmade Christmas gift every year. Hand knitted dish rags, ornaments, pillow cases with these ornate flowers hand sewn into them, etc. I've never even met her, but I suspect she really looks forward to my thank you letter so I make sure to send her one every year. Also sent a thank you letter to the guy who gave me four tickets ~12 rows back on the 50 yard line for State vs UNC a couple years ago.Not for every little thing though.

I don't even read non-hand written cards, unless they're from my brother. He seems to have a knack for finding the cheesy one that would make me laughI'm Krallum and i approved this message.
