Post your crappy apartment stories here...My apartment has the old school radiative heaters along the walls under the windows. No big deal; I cut them off during the day and it probably breaks even or saves a few dollars over central air. Plus I can heat the house to 70 degrees in a matter of minutes on those cold mornings. However, every time the radiator is triggered my DSL cuts out. Apparently the only phone jack in the place is wired parallel to the power lines and they interfere. Freeze or have interwebs

I loved when I was living in a place with no heat, no a/c, and a huge floor to ceiling single paned window in the kitchen that would sweat in the winter whenever we cooked. It also had a fridge the size of a dorm fridge and no oven. And half the time the water heater didn't work. And it was across the way from a concrete factory so all of my shit was covered in dust whenever I would open the windows to air it out. And because it was above a store, when the store closed for the evening you'd have to shimmy between a fence and a building column to get around the store gate to the breezeway that led to the apartment stairs.God I don't miss that place at all.

i miss the apt i had when ASU kicked me off campus as a grad student.the first night i spent in it alone was like that movie "Joe's Apartment." except instead of enjoying a musical with my new friends i chased them around with aerosol cans of poison. so much poison in fact im sure ill have cancer later in life.when they ran in various holes/cracks around the place id spray poison in after them and then immediately seal it up with spray foam insulation.good times indeed! plus the place always smelled like sausage (cue jokes).

Now you have me thinking about the place I lived in on Kent Road where we'd occasionally hear gun fire or fights break out in the middle of the night. Good times
