Watch Bigger Faster Stronger for a great explanation of supplements and steroids (not sure those are in the same category...) in general.

Yep...Don't know the detials but know a friend's brother who died of renal failure because of supplements.Maybe for short term use, they're harmless. But if your quest is for the perfect physique, pretty sure you're taking mega doses of everything.

DNP can help you shed a pound a day; it can also kill your or leave you braindead from elevated body temperatures if you take too much. The LD/ED ratio is only about 3/1, so there's not much room for error in dosing. You willing to take that risk just so you can lose a few pounds quicker than normal?Clenbuterol/T3 stacked together is also effective, but you could risk a stroke / heart attack if you're at risk from high blood pressure or bad blood lipid profiles. Not quite the guaranteed death that a DNP overdose is, but still something to be wary of.Everything else is a waste of your money.[Edited on January 16, 2012 at 12:41 PM. Reason : some of the OTC products on the market are extremely dangerous to liver/kidney function]

Nothing safe works. If it did, wouldn't pharma be all over that shit?

Caffeinated thermogenics

1/16/2012 1:41:47 PM
No it worked. I lost weight...but I hated the caffeine side effects
1/16/2012 1:48:19 PM
About once a year or so, I get stupid and buy some pills or something. They never work. Also, the Nutrisystem food is horrible; I think you lose weight because you'd rather starve than eat those meals. But I took the huge box with me to the beach and had "food" for over a month--my only expenses were beer and toilet paper, which was pretty sweet!Hilariously, I've never purchased any exercise contraptions or DVDs. I'm not that stupid.^^^^,^^^^^Technically, neither of those posts are true. LOL[Edited on January 16, 2012 at 1:51 PM. Reason : ]

Clenbuterol.

Cause I'm not actually going to use it. Spending money on something I'm not going to use, takes up precious space in my apartment, and makes me feel lazy/guilty...that is especially stupid. Do you follow?

Most OTC fat burning pills are loaded with deathly amounts of caffeine. GNC once offered me a free sample in a promo sale that had 500mg of caffeine. The directions said take two pills twice daily. That's roughly 20 cups of coffee in a day? Caffeine is a cheap way of accelerating your heart beat and therefore losing weight. Us 20 somethings can handle it short term, but it is indeed possibly fatal to older people, and probably damaging to 20 somethings as well.Obviously, diet and exercise are the best choice. But you can also look into natural and prescription appetite suppressants. Drugs such as Wellbutrin can be used for smoking cessation and as a side effect stop cravings and the 'sweet tooth'. There are natural ways such as loading up on Vitamin B (energy metabolism increase), chromium (levels glucose to restrict drops in glucose that cause you to seek sugar), etc. I've heard of people losing weight by simply committing to drink a glass of water before a meal. I think a lot of times your body confuses dehydration and hunger.Problem with 'drugs' is that people yo-yo their weight through their life. Consistently hurting themselves by abusing 'diet pills'. Until people understand how to eat better, exercise correctly, reduce impulse eating, and portion control - you won't change a damn thing.
