Best Men's Clothing store ever??I'm actually wearing an old button down Structure shirt to work today. I've got a few that I keep in the back of my closet that still fit from high school. Why the fuck did they role that place up into Express for Men? I can't imagine their numbers are any higher except for in the major metrosexual places. I also doubt I'd wear too much of their stuff now that I'm older (this old buttown down notwithstanding)...but it probably composed about 80% of my closet back in the day.

Was Structure that different from Express for men? Less shiny shirt and tiger prints or something?
2/14/2012 9:40:45 AM
I don't think I have ever worn it or ever been in a store. Are there some around here? My closet was mostly Hilfiger and American Eagle in High School .[Edited on February 14, 2012 at 9:41 AM. Reason : .]

I used to wear the fuck out of structure.Still have a few structure shirts that'll get thrown into the rotation here and there from high school as well.Held up surprisingly well, considering it's been gone for what, 13 years?

I was in a Penny's or some other department store about a year ago and they were selling structure. I would assume its the same but thats just an assumption.
2/14/2012 10:09:39 AM
Yeah, the brand is still around to some extent. I saw a Structure sports coat at Marshals not too long ago and had one of those "this brand still exists" moments.
2/14/2012 10:12:49 AM
^Apparently Sears has picked up the Structure "brand."But I'll never buy any clothing from Sears...so Structure is still dead to me.

Horseshit brand, imo. Not a surprise that posters in this thread would fancy them, as they represent a pretty fair cross section of TWW's collective male fashion demographic, who ten years later still pine for the clothes of their youth. Be in the habit of experimenting with your clothing so that you don't get stuck for life with a self-image developed over the course of high school.
2/14/2012 10:25:06 AM
Melodramatic.
2/14/2012 10:27:16 AM
I like to wear tight dungarees, a cowboy hat, and the finest Tommy Hilfiger shirt Belks had on clearance.
2/14/2012 10:29:13 AM
I have a pair of structure shorts that i wear the shit out of every summer. they are my best, most comfortable pair and i love them to death
2/14/2012 10:32:50 AM
That's pretty impressive durability.
2/14/2012 10:35:29 AM
No Fear got your dicked sucked in high school. Point is, at 17, we all thought we knew what we were doing, so its fun to look back now and remember how stupid we were. And Structure clothing is at the forefront of that discussion.
2/14/2012 10:39:00 AM
definitely worked at structure one christmas season in high school to get that 190% discount.completely co-sign SF here.
2/14/2012 10:41:33 AM
There's a difference between saying, "holy shit, what the fuck was I thinking in high school!" and knowing that while you were in high school, that shit was actually fashionable to your peers. And this was included in the original post, btw:
2/14/2012 10:47:21 AM
they had nice clothes, sans the flashyness. Now i usually find shit at department stores or h&m. But then again, i maybe go clothes shopping once a year, if that.
2/14/2012 10:49:11 AM
I agree with SF to an extent and if my structure shorts were, say, cargos then I wouldn't wear them. but the fact of the matter is mine are non-pleated 9" Chino shorts. I STILL get compliments on them. Realistically, the clothes were the best you could find at the time and since men's fashion doesn't change a ton they are still very apt for wear, whether out, yard work or laying around the house. Just because you mofos got fat and can't wear what you could in high school doesn't mean you should hate on those of us who can.
2/14/2012 10:49:59 AM
Banana Republic was to college what Structure was to high school. I'll assume The Gap and Old Navy comprise the rest of your courtroom collection.
2/14/2012 10:52:06 AM
I can't even remember what I wore in college. Whatever I could afford I guess. T-shirts and jeans. Always made trips to that t-shirt store outside of Raleigh that got all of the college/pros reject t-shirts that were misspelled, over-ordered, or fucked up in some way. You could get 7 or 8 shirts for $20 bucks.
2/14/2012 10:56:27 AM
Probably why you ended up at a Tier IV
2/14/2012 11:00:31 AM
haha, nah, mortex was dope though.
2/14/2012 11:03:38 AM
^ Fuck yes. Mortex. Your brother and P. Smith got me on that place.
2/14/2012 11:07:05 AM
i still have about 4-5 of them in my tshirt drawer
2/14/2012 11:22:49 AM
in the same vein does anyone remember County Seat?i had a few things from Structure. they were classic american male clothes for the most part and held up well. I honestly think their clothes from 10-13 years ago would stand the test of time more so than any american eagle/abercrombie selection from the same fashion season.
2/14/2012 11:33:38 AM
I liked structure, and then they changed to express for men, now just express, and they are completely different stores.
2/14/2012 1:04:09 PM
Gepetto I'm so glad you clarified that your shorts are not cargos lol
2/14/2012 1:14:24 PM
Looks like something strait outta 1996
2/14/2012 4:31:36 PM

Middle school, though, right? Some of the fashionless fucks in this thread probably rocked that shit to Prom.
2/14/2012 4:44:09 PM
wouldn't shock me if some of them are still wearing silver link necklacesor a filthy hat with a shredded billor one of those lame cloth belts
2/14/2012 4:56:29 PM
jbrick still wears his Baja
2/14/2012 5:00:23 PM
it's worth noting
2/14/2012 5:01:40 PM
a pair of these:and some cargo shorts would guarantee you access to at least one tit, if not bothmaaaaaybe a handjob
2/14/2012 5:03:25 PM
If I recall correctly...the switch from structure to express was an attempt to separate themselves from AE/AF/AERO/Hollister and in doing so to take a more classier look alah buckle/banana republic/business/club style?I still dress the same as I did in HS...except I wear some burberry, armani, and buckle...[Edited on February 14, 2012 at 5:13 PM. polo shirts with those chunky stripes make me shudderso do those nikes
2/14/2012 5:19:48 PM
i choose brooks brothers
2/14/2012 5:25:41 PM
Ah, yes. I did enjoy some Structure back in the day. I walked into Express Men once out of curiosity, after the changeover, and in about 60 seconds decided there was nothing in there I could wear and walked back out.
2/14/2012 5:27:17 PM
man i used to love Structure!! i still have some shirts and pants that I wear as camping/work in the yard clothes.
