If it happened in a cafeteria, how do they not know who the shooter is and how did they let him escaped without seeing where he went?
2/27/2012 8:55:58 AM
well its possible the shooter was wearing all black or had a mask on, etc etc. one of my good friends was attacked a few months ago and he said that everything had happened so fast that he couldn't even process key information like what the attackers looked like or what kind of car they were driving.

ibt we need harder gun laws

haha more like ibtwdprice3 "this must be a fake news story, guns aren't allowed on school campus"
2/27/2012 9:13:39 AM
Gun laws don't protect anyone and only come into play after the fact.Guns don't kill people, people kill people. If there were someone else armed in that school they could have killed the shooter.Guns laws have created a "safe to kill" zone for active shooters. They know they can go into a school and start killing people and there is nothing to stop them.More people are killed by cars than guns but no one wants to take cars away.

I did not even know my school had breakfast until one day during inclement weather they said something about it being cancelled.

For once I would love to see the plethora of records out there about concealed weapons stopping madmen on shooting sprees. I mean I know there was that one off duty cop ad a city board meeting a year or so back, but that's honestly the only one I can remember.Cops get killed and they have unconcealed weapons. How does that happen if the THREAT of a concealed weapon is all that is needed to stop shootings like this forever?[Edited on February 27, 2012 at 12:50 PM. Reason : .]
2/27/2012 12:46:19 PM
^who said the threat of concealed weapons would stop all threats forever? By the way, cops are easy to identify. CCers are not. Element of surprise is handy and useful in many situations.[Edited on February 27, 2012 at 12:51 PM. Reason : .]

Trenchcoat Mafia 2012?
2/27/2012 12:51:16 PM
No one has explicitly said that, but it is implied every time someone says something like "Guns laws have created a "safe to kill" zone for active shooters. They know they can go into a school and start killing people and there is nothing to stop them."You know who has the element of surprise? The guy who is about to murder people. No concealed weapon is going to stop him from pulling the trigger first.[Edited on February 27, 2012 at 12:55 PM. Reason : .]

I do not think there really is a solution for school shootings. Maybe better parenting...but thats not going to happen. :/
2/27/2012 12:56:10 PM
^^well something is implied, but either way, it doesn't imply an absolute, nor is that statement an absolute. Not every "gun free" zone is a hotbed of crime, but many are. Just like the threat of potential CCers won't stop every crime, but it does prevent some, maybe even many.and the threat of CCers may stop such an individual; or it might not. Regardless, the innocent around the shooter should have at least a fair chance at saving their own life and not be mowed down by a criminal.^true. I mean, allowing teachers to CC in this situation may not have done anything; sure the threat may have stopped it, we don't know. It sounds like the kid shot and ran in quick fashion, so he would have likely not been confronted. However, I think the possibility for the threat of a teacher CCing may have impacted this person's choices (it had the potential to at least) and therefore should be allowed. The burden of proof shouldn't be on the freedom, it should be on restricting the freedom. Someone show me where CCers are shooting up schools, where CCH holding teachers are killing coworkers and students.[Edited on February 27, 2012 at 12:59 PM. one possible solution is for the parents to lock up/secure their guns properlyno, it isn't THE solution but it would sure make it more difficult for kids to get their hands on a gun
2/27/2012 12:59:13 PM

^^well they'd obviously go through CCH training and likely further training for their school environment; I see no problem with that at all. And teaching being a distraction? How so? And the firearm would be on the person at all times, not laying around in drawers.
2/27/2012 1:16:10 PM
This all falls into the same category of bullying. There might be indicators of an at-risk student potentially starting an altercation, but no one wants to intervene for fear of the backlash from parents.
2/27/2012 1:17:29 PM
Is there a way to voluntairly and permanently terminate your parental rights and obligations to your kid?Im pretty sure if my kid did some shit like that I would write him a fuck off and die letter and never want to speak or be associated with them again. (I dont have any kids)I guess maybe its different when it is your kid....but at some point people need to just accept their offspring is a worthless, repugnant, defective peice of humanity and wish them the worst.
