This is for the guys, because lots of you womenfolk are damn near 5 feet anyway.I think that being 8 feet tall would be a huge pain in the ass for day to day activities like driving a car, walking thru doors, and buying clothes. But 5 feet is a borderline midget. I'm 5'10" now and I already feel pretty short. Ideally, you retain your same level of agility and coordination and don't end up like some goofy bastard. Dominate the NBA for a few years, then retire and do porn.So my vote is for 8 feet tall, absent, of course, the option to split the difference and be a cool 6'6".
2/28/2012 11:07:42 AM
Keep your same level of agility & coordination? Then this thread is basically just a "what would you do if you were 8 ft tall" thread
2/28/2012 11:09:23 AM
is everything proportionate?
2/28/2012 11:09:56 AM
Not really. The world wasn't designed for tall people. You'd knock your head every 10 minutes.[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 11:10 AM. Reason : ^ yes, thus the career path deviation noted above]
2/28/2012 11:10:11 AM
That's definitely a tough one.I'd say 8 feet just because of the probability of making a shit ton of money playing basketball (hopefully you wouldn't have all of the injury problems that usually come with this height).I think it would be just as tough to get girls at 8 feet as it would 5 feet. But you would probably get a bunch of girls that would just want to fuck you because you're so tall (not to mention the millions you get playing ball). You DON'T get that at 5 feet.
2/28/2012 11:10:13 AM
8 feet....from the groundI'm Krallum and I approved this message.
2/28/2012 11:10:48 AM
2/28/2012 11:11:07 AM
Five. It'd be a less of a pain to by clothes, cars, etc..
2/28/2012 11:11:08 AM
^^Just go ahead and say that you're asking about the dick.^ It's a pain in the ass to buy clothes at 5'7". I can't imagine if I was 5 even. You'd have to get everything tailored...just like if you were 8".[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 11:13 AM. Reason : .]
2/28/2012 11:12:52 AM
Gee, I guess I'd just be the richest and most dominant basketball player everWhat a tough decision
2/28/2012 11:13:09 AM
5ft and dominate at the pro badminton circuit
2/28/2012 11:13:19 AM
no, I meant shoes. Shoes for an 8 ft person would have to be custom, and that runs a few hundred $
2/28/2012 11:14:14 AM
^You're an NBA player, so that shit doesn't matter.I'd rather pay money for custom clothes...than shop in the kid's department.
2/28/2012 11:15:11 AM
I wonder what would happen if an NCAA team suddenly recruited 5 guys that were 8' tall.
2/28/2012 11:17:03 AM
Lets not just assume you'll make $$$$$ playing basketball. Thats an ideal outcome; you could just as easily run into foot problems and be 8 feet tall sitting in a cubicle for the rest of your life. Talk about hell.
2/28/2012 11:17:06 AM
Of course being 5' might not be that bad. Slave and jbrick, what are your experiences?
2/28/2012 11:17:31 AM
you could also be a nasty jockey at 5'
2/28/2012 11:18:48 AM
Screw basketball, I'd market myself to NFL teams as an automatic FG blocker & make $$ for getting on the field for like 5 plays a game
2/28/2012 11:21:21 AM
^^^yeah.Assuming you're not going to be a player in the NBA (or any other type of professional athlete) it's a no brainer to be just 5' tall. Life would be much easier.-traveling in any way would be better (car, bus, train, airplane)-not cramped in a movie theatre or any other public arena type place-you're smaller so you would eat less (save $$$)-smaller clothes are cheaper-live longer[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 11:22 AM. i'm closer to 8 feet tall than 5 feet tall, so 8 feet i guess
2/28/2012 11:26:04 AM
Right, I mean Dwight Howard is probably the tallest person I know of who is proportioned like a normal person. So odds are, at over a foot taller than him, you're going to have a myriad of heath issues. So it would be a huge risk to take the 8 foot option knowing that information. Still, though, being 5 feet tall would cripple my already fragile ego.
2/28/2012 11:27:07 AM
same question, but what if your arms stayed their current length?

While I deny that I'm even slightly bitter toward jbrick and his shitty USA drama lifestyle, I won't deny that living in Greensboro makes me question my life every moment of every day.
2/28/2012 11:32:58 AM
being that tall would definitely be a pain in the ass, but if i could play in the nba for a few years then i'd rather be 8' than 5'. if i couldn't make the nba then i'd probably rather be 5'.[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 11:37 AM. Reason : ...]

I feel like my life is relatively drama free...I did, however, love me some TNT drama while I was in law school. Watched Law Order and Las Vegas on the daily.I don't think Ernie is bitter towards me...just bitter in general. I think there are certain posters where you can look at their posting and see that they hate their life. Some are just assholes that enjoy their real lives...but others come off as being very dissatisfied with their current living status.Ernie seems like one of those people. I don't know if it's because he hasn't had sexual relations in a while, has no social life, isn't happy with his job (I know he was unemployed for a little while), or really really really hates living in the triad (it could be worse, my dad lives in Thomasville)...but he seems like an extremely bitter person.
2/28/2012 11:48:06 AM
either way, no one would take you seriously. 8' would suck more if you weren't allowed to use it to play sports. everything in life would be harder. The only thing that would suck about 5' would be that no one takes you seriously.
2/28/2012 11:52:26 AM

Man, I need to read sports talk more often. I feel that there is a whole world of hatred between TWWers that's foreign to me.
2/28/2012 12:23:30 PM
^Nah, Ernie just tells it like it is & some people don't like it
2/28/2012 12:26:55 PM
^ Most people do like it, actually. The people that don't are mostly the idiots that post in Sports Talk. Unfortunately they keep posting. It also doesn't change the fact that he's a bitter man.

Of course, I'm insecure. Who isn't?And two cents on the Ernie matter...he 'tells it like it is' regarding people's posting habits, or the content of their posts, and he's one of TWW's finest in that regard. But under no circumstances should he be attacking anyone's personal life, unless, of course, he wants to make himself similarly transparent.[Edited on February 28, 2012 at 1:47 PM.
