I got a 15" macbook with retina display and 256 gig of storage. This is my first mac, I have been windows since there was windows. What is the coolest thing, best app, neatest trick or shortcut, etc.? I used it for a few hours last night and the change really isn't that bad. Once you get the layout and menu functionality it isn't hard to navigate which I was surprised about because I haven't ever used a mac for more than a few minutes.Hit me up.

You missed it.The last two OS updates have been terrible, bloated, Windows-like crap. The age of Macs being cool and superior is over.Sell it while you can and get a Windows machine.

Try the five finger converging gesture to minimize all windows, the opposite will maximize all windows. Also, use the pinch gesture to resize windows

Use boot camp.To me, Mac OS X 10.6 was the greatest Mac OS ever. It lacked the bloat, fully 64-bit, fast and fully featured. But there's really not much you can do on a Mac that you couldn't previously do on Windows. I love my 5 year old Macbook Pro and my 1 year old Hackintosh, all running 10.8. My next laptop will likely be a Macbook Air or a Retina Macbook Pro 13" (probably the Macbook Air 11.6"). My currently most used laptop (Samsung Princeton w/ 1.3 ghz Core i3 Sandy Bridge w/ 256 gb SSD) is more than fast enough for my laptop needs and the current generation of Macbook Airs/Windows Ultrabooks don't offer much more than what I currently have. I don't really want to go larger than what I have (no need for anything bigger/faster).

I'm not an apple fanboy, but 256 isn't bad if its solid state. If not, lol at the massive storage.

Get Perian; I know it's old now but it makes the native QuickTime program and plugins work with more video formats: http://perian.org/Also, for those times when you have a problem with your Mac and whatever forum you post to recommends changing some config files, use this text-editor to do it (TextEdit isn't powerful enough for serious search-replace and sorting operations and the like): http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/

Macs are great for art fag shit, audio recording & womans work type shit. Macs are also great developmentally for kids.PCs are great for autocad, boring ass math/coding shit and general (line + circle)x10000000 activities. PCs are also great for basement dwellershowever, android phones are better than iphones in every scenarioI'm Krallum and I approved this message./]
