I have this:However when I attempt to remove the ice from the tray it is pretty much impossible. There is not much give in the lower tray, and if I run hot water over the cube it melts away a chunk before I can remove it. Bending it like a typical ice cube tray does nothing. What obvious solution am I missing? Is there something I can spray (e.g. Pam) that would keep the ice from sticking to the mold?[Edited on December 9, 2012 at 8:22 PM. Reason : .]

I had the same problem with mine so I just replaced it with stones. They also make stainless steel cubes, but I prefer stones. Those giant ice cubes also dropped the temp too much for me, I don't drink cold filtered bourbon so it made them too cloudy and changed the flavor too much. The stones seem to chill them but not change the taste as much.

The only way I got the cubes out of my Makers Mark thing was by running hot water, and it took at least 5 minutesthen I bought the stones
