so punching babies and puppies is bad, ok. but in all honesty, doing something physically exerting is not a bad thing. You are releasing pent up energy, and distracting yourself at the same time. As long as it is a distraction, and you aren't focusing on punching the bag with your bosses or coworker's face on it, then you should be doing some good. My releases are in no way violent (I could go shoot some guns, but that doesn't do anything for me 'release' wise)- I like to play disc golf, golf, go on a loooong walk with the dog... things like that
