You should get it looked at by a dermatologist. I had something similar about 8 years ago, except a lot more nasty. Turned out to be a fairly innocuous problem, they just used a laser to cut off the scab area to keep it from coming back.but it could be a sign of infection, mrsa, or other more serious virus/bacterial infections that you don't want to try and fix on your own.I paid out of pocket for my visit and it was <200 bucks.

hmmm, have you tried not picking at it? maybe put a little moisturizer on it to let it heal?

Mild chronic localized celulitis Its pretty much single pimple consisting of several pores set a little further under the skin. It has more to do with the architecture of your skin (pore depth) than hygiene. Prevalent mostly on the back of the neck to the base of the skull. Manifests more often among black men and men/women with heavier athletic body-types.I'd avoid astringents and certainly heavy scrubbing of the area as these can damage the area further or, with astringents, destroy the oil production capability completely. Often necessitating surgery or really stupid haircuts. While bathing and after washing your hair, take a washcloth and dab it on a bar of antibacterial soap and lightly sponge the area and rinse as usual.Try this for a couple of weeks and wrap your pillow with a clean towel every night (even if you launder your linens daily). This gives the area more oxygen and thus more ability to heal itself. And stop picking at it ya big galoot.
