those who disagree - lead me to some better Greek food in the Triangle, if it exists.

i always find the specials to be the best sounding of the meals and always end up spending way more than i want to spend there

Greek Fiesta

not impressed, but I'm not a big fan of greek/mediterranean food.

I love Mediterreanean food, and this is one of my favorite restaraunts in the area, probably been there about 10 times, and always impressed. Sitti isn't exactly Greek (Lebanese/Mediterranean), but it's similar and very good too.[Edited on February 6, 2013 at 3:11 PM. Reason : ]

it's only OK. Greek Fiesta FTW

Dos Taquitos is ok, but Taco Bell FTW!

Oh yeah, I had brunch buffet at Spartacus in Cary a few years ago, and thought that was really good too. And check out the annual Greek Fest at the Raleigh Fair Grounds.

Let's argue about who can mix spinach and feta the best.

the Greek Fiesta on Western is terrible and they charge for anyting extra you get on a gyro. I like how Jasmin lets you get feta and tabouli on there for free. Taverna Agora is pricy, but damn is their food good. I'll have to check out Spartacus.

love taverna agora tirokafteri appetizer is amazeballssitti is also a great restaurant. it's not greek but if you're into that kind of food i think you'd like sitti. also, i wouldn't really compare this place to neomonde (which i find delicious) or jasmin because the taverna is full service and has full menu of appetizers, entrees, etc[Edited on February 6, 2013 at 4:14 PM. I love neomonde, but Greek Fiesta or Shish Kabob have been suitable replacements to get my Greek fix

^^had the Pikilia Agora sampler last night that had the spicy feta, the tzatziki and melitzanosalata (eggplant pesto-like thing) and it was amazing. generous portions of each dip and tons of pita.

If you ever go to Wilmington, check out Sahara. It's a little local shop that blows Greek Fiesta and Jasmin out of the water (even though i like those too). And it has non-Greek food like burgers and hot dogs and milkshakes.

Xios in Apex used to be amazing. It closed though. Really not sure why, the times that I went there it was pretty busy.

i went for the first time last year (despite living just around the corner from it for, like, 5 years)...i thought it was fantastic

I don't understand the love for Greek Fiesta. I think I have been to two different locations, and both were extremely bland and unimpressive.

^ My MIL loves Greek Fiesta. She also has terrible taste in restaurants. So you're probably not far off in your assessment.

I don't think Greek fiesta is bad but it's not where I'd choose to go if I really want Greek food.
