I am flying and want to take bottles in my checked bag. Will they let this fly?

Yes, but you should wrap it up or buy one of the plastic "wine skins"http://www.amazon.com/Wine-Skin-WineSkin-Bag-2-Pack/dp/B0033C6FOMfor the safety of your clothes etc. I don't think TSA cares. We've brought back rum from Costa Rica and St Lucia, and we just wrapped the bottles in clothes to protect them[Edited on January 10, 2014 at 7:52 AM. Reason : .]

i brought a 500 ml bottle of absinthe back on a cruise from st. maarten, through customs, on a plane from miami to NC without any issues.although i think the limit on bringing alcohol back from a trip like that is something like 4 liters.

ok they had liters of all types of absolut (i know its not great) for only 9 dollars. I was going to buy 2 because they couldhave fit but then the bag was really heavy. also there was a sign that said you cannot bring any alcahol from asia to europe so i only bought one and it made it through.
