It's okay. I play with jazz III picks, they're small speed picks but their stout rigidity is a double-edged sword, lemme tell ya. No mercy on your guitar strings, and no mercy on your esophagus.

I, like every guitar player known to man, often use the convenience of my mouth to store the temporarily-extraneous guitar pick. I had to yawn and inhaled a little too quickly, the pick lit upon the back of my tongue and the gulp reflex sealed it's fate.

I'll update tomorrow if any complications arise.

we tune a full 3 steps down, we sling our guitars with damn near power cables to keep them taught at that tuning

of course they're still no steel-string, but that's a different animal
